* 1 medium pack of ground beef
* 1 pack of hot sausage ( ground)
* 1 pack of mozzarella cheese- shredded
* 1 pack of cheddar cheese–shredded
* 1 pack of pepper jack cheese slices
* 1 onion
* 2-3 stalks of celery
* 1 bell pepper
* 1 can of diced tomatoes
* 1/3 cup of Splenda
* 7 eggs, beaten
* ½ cup heavy whipping cream
* 1 jar of hot salsa
* 2 scoops of sugar free protein powder
* 2 ounce of cream cheese
Step 1
Turn on your oven to 325 degrees F and preheat for at least five minutes. Spray a 9×13 with cooking oil. (A 10×15 sized pan can be used, but I use the 9×13 for thicker bread).
Step 2
boil the meat in water fully cooked add the veggies like making spaghetti add the salsa too.
Step 3
Whisk together the wet ingredients in another bowl -whipping cream- eggs, -cream cheese-splenda. then add in the protein powder- make a sauce..
Step 4
Layer the pan with a then layer of the sauce then add a layer of meat, then add a layer of cheese, careful to use a little from each kind. tear the pepper jack cheese into pieces as you go—do this 2 or three times to build up layers. In-between each layer pour a bit of the sauce like a layer also.
Step 5
Pour the remaining sauce on the top layer and add a final layer of cheese to cover the top layer..
Step 6
Bake for about 20 minutes on the bottom rack then move to the top rack for another 20 minutes or until the top is turning to a slightly brown crust—let cool then cut into 2 inch piece squares. each piece is less than 5 grams of carb, with 2 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein and about 350 calories. total 3 net carbs per piece.
Step 7
note: you can add more meat and or veggies or take away some, whatever fits your taste and needs.
I add broccoli to this recipes sometimes too and it is so good. It is totally guilt free eating at it’s best.
Use this as the main dish of your meal and add a side salad.
